Many Posts of Parasol Protectorate
Our Heroine, Gail Carriger

By Gail Carriger
 This is going to be a fun week of Steampunkery.

There will be Book Reviews of :
Soulless
Changeless
Blameless

And ode to a grand character.
Madame Lefoux
&
Lord  Maccon

Lady Jen of In the Closet with a Bibliophile will be joining in the review fun!

Without farther ado we are going to kick off the fun with a interview with
my lovely assistant.
No, Igor here.  Sorry, to disappoint!

With warmth and offerings of tea I welcome to my humble blog,
however, I would refer to it as my laboratory.

A few questions to peak the interest of intrigued minds
if you don't mind.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Mad Scientist:  I'd like to know... my dear, why did you start blogging?  & how long have you been creating wonderful snarky book reviews.
  Oh, and please give us a link to your favorite review/post so that we might visit.
Lady Jen:  I started blogging because I talk too much.  Yes, that's correct....I talk too much.  I never really shut my mouth about books so I though *light bulb* you can start a book blog so that you can talk about books whenever you want however much you want and no one will think you are totally off your rocker.  So, I did just that.  I've been book blogging for 5 months now and I still love it.
 Mad Scientist:  My my, you are a young one yet.  Fresh blogging meat on the chopping board.
If I handed over a unimaginable amount of money for you to purchase your first parasol, describe for us what you just bought!
Lady Jen:  You, of course, know my love of parasols!  I have a dream to own a closet full one day.  Hubby isn't too keen on the idea, but oh well.
So, my parasol (that I've theoretically purchased *wink wink*) is blood red.  the top of it has a design of a tree curling around the center and off to one side.  And not just any tree mind you, one with crooked branches and no leaves.  Except on one branch that hangs on the side closest to the edge is a grouping of little stars.
I'm a bit of a different character and I have an obsession with greenery and stars.  I'm not into astrology, mind you, but astronomy.  Science my dear!
 Mad Scientist:  Science is a dear friend of mine.
Can you tell us 2 things about you that would ruffle my skirts.  (Shocking, daring, sexy, all of the above)
Lady Jen: 1.  I have a dream of owning thigh high boots.  No, I'm serious.  Actual thigh high boots...preferably in black!
2.  I once went white water rafting in New Zealand where we proceeded to go down a 7 meter waterfall (for all those NOT on the metric system, that's about 21 feet).  It was one of the craziest things I've ever done.  *big grin*
 Mad Scientist: Lady Jen would you be so kind as to tell us a bit about your book obsession:
One of your favorite books:
This one is tough, but I think I'll go with book 5 in the Georgina Kincaid Series Succubus Shadows because I'm addicted to Georgina and her crazy messed up life.
  One of your favorite authors:
For this one I'm going to pick Rachel Caine.  I've read both her YA and her Weather Warden Adult series and I think she is fabulous!
   The book/s you are currently reading:
  I am reading the Jane True series by Nicole Peeler and the Demonica series by Larissa Ione.  And might I say that I love Jane True and I'm in rapture from book 2 and dying for book  3 in the series (I like me some Barghest!).
   The book/s that are patiently waiting on your night stand:
That would be Beautiful Darkness by Kami Garcia and Margret Stohl.  I'm saving this little beauty for the trip I'm taking next week.  I plan on reading it on the flight to Europe *squee*, can't wait to read it.  In fact, I'm more excited for the book than my trip.
 Mad Scientist: If you could live anywhere where would it be and why?
Lady Jen: In all honesty, I'd probably live in Arizona.  I love it here with all of the reds and browns and excellent winters.  I'm in my groove when I'm here and it feels good to be independent and strong.  I think that an environment that does that to you should be kept around.
 Mad Scientist:  What is your favorite snack?  I cannot entertain properly if I do not know what you would prefer.
Lady Jen: My favorite snack is probably going to be potato chips and ranch dip.  Yes, I'm a naughty naughty girl!  It's just that not only is it tasty, it also carries memories of fun nights spent hanging with the girls and giggling.  I do so love a good giggle.  (really, full on laughter is better, but I'll take what I can get!
It has been a real pleasure spending some time with you.
*steals a chip*
Look forward to our take on the Parasol Protectorate Series!
  5. Fun interview. Don't think I'd live in AZ. AZ wouldn't want me without my papers. ;) Otherwise, yep, southwestern states are FTW! :)
